Obsessive visual artist, musician, and composer Bernar Gomma, originally from Rio de Janeiro and now based in Berlin, is a dynamic creative force. He has spent over 15 years shaping the independent music scene. With more than 1,000 live performances across Brazil and collaborations with numerous bands, Gomma’s diverse body of work spans across visual arts and music, with a distinct focus on blending the two in a way that creates immersive and multi-sensory experiences for audiences.

As a visual artist, Gomma has developed a unique neo-op art style with his Geometric Dimensional series, exploring the interplay of shapes, color, and perception. His artwork has been featured in three solo exhibitions and multiple group shows. Notably, Gomma was part of the esteemed study group “Antiformas de Intervenção”, led by the artist David Cury at the Escola de Artes Visuais (EAV) in Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro. Gomma’s work was selected for inclusion in Mostra Museu curated in São Paulo, and it has been showcased in public art projects, including a videomapping display on a building façade in Belém as part of the Mostra Sua Arte festival. His art has also been featured in leading publications such as Revista Bravo! and Revista Traços, among others.

In 2023, Gomma embarked on a groundbreaking creative project that merges his visual art and musical talents into an all-encompassing Super Sensory Experience. This solo performance format combines his live guitar compositions with custom visual projections based on his artwork, enveloping audiences in a psychedelic fusion of contemporary abstraction and sound. Gomma’s performances are designed to stimulate multiple senses simultaneously, creating an immersive, mind-expanding experience.

Currently, Gomma is in the process of finalizing his highly anticipated debut studio album, drawing on his years of experience and his relentless passion for artistic innovation. His work continues to evolve as he pushes the boundaries of both visual and musical expression.
